Tormaresca

Tormaresca was born in 1998 after the decision of the Tuscan company Marchesi Antinori to invest in Puglia, a region that promised great oenological results thanks to the millenary wine tradition, the rich grape varieties of the area and the favourable pedo-climatic conditions.

Tormaresca consists of two estates, "Masseria Maime" and "Bocca di Lupo", which arise in two strategic geographical areas for Puglia wine production embracing much of the territory and showing nature and characteristics that make them unique and extremely different from each other.

Bocca di Lupo estate, whose name refers to the typical wild features of Murgia, is located in the DOC region of Castel del Monte at about 300 meters a.s.l. in the countryside of Minervino Murge.

Along a path that crosses the vineyards (130 hectares), grown mainly in the Aglianico, Nero di Troia, Fiano, Moscato di Trani, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon variety, we arrive at the estate, born from the inspiration of the architect Marcello Corboz and headquarters of the Sales, Marketing and PR offices.

Masseria Maìme estate is located in Salento and its vineyards run for one kilometre along the Adriatic coast. The estate covers 500 hectares of which, in addition to the 250 planted with vineyards and the 80 used for olive tree groves, approx. 150 are protected as a regional reserve.

With its wines and its philosophy, Masseria Maìme represents the essence of Salento: the devotion to the sea, the cult of the sun and the opulence of its wines.

The main grape varieties grown are Negroamaro, Primitivo, Sussumaniello, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, all turned into wines in a futuristic winery designed by the architect Fiorenzo Valbonesi.
