It's official that the well-known fashion house Gucci, led by Alessandro Michele, has chosen Castel del Monte as the location for its next fashion show.
It will take place on 16th May. The preparations for the event, which promises to arouse the interest of the fashion news in Frederick's Castle, are in full swing but strictly top secret.
It is not the first time that Gucci has chosen a place of great historical and cultural value to present the new collections. It has already happened with the Pre-Fall 2019 women's collection in Pompeii or with the Cruise 2020 collection presented at the Capitoline Museums.
But it is not even the first time that an important fashion house has chosen Puglia as a stage for its fashion shows. In 2021 Dior chose the baroque city of Lecce to present its Cruise collection inspired by the traditional art of the Salento weaving.
This time it was the turn of the castle inscribed as a Unesco World Heritage site since 1996, one of the symbolic places of Imperial Puglia and one of the most visited castles in Italy. Surely its reputation as a mysterious castle, its octagonal plan that stands out over the landscape of the Alta Murgia National Park, its absolute historical and aesthetic value, make Castel del Monte a place of great charm and the ideal location for hosting large-scale events like this one.
The interest that is increasing day by day around the event is also fueled by the absolute secrecy of the organisers, who have not let any news leak out. Certainly, we expect an event of significant impact, in respect of the place, which has always been a priority for the fashion house that, as in previous experiences, has supported the project to enhance the historic site of Castel del Monte in collaboration with local authorities (Ministry of Culture - General Directorate of Puglia Museums).
What is certain is that such a location is a really valuable one for a fashion show that promises to be unforgettable.
