Torrevento estate is a few steps from the extraordinary Castel del Monte, in the "Torre del Vento" district, where an ancient eighteenth-century monastery, surrounded by 400 hectares of land, has housed the company since 1948, the year in which the brothers Francesco and Domenico Liantonio buy the Torrevento estate.
Since then, a tradition of rural wine production has been transmitted from generation to generation and is still the strength of the company today.
In a harsh and stony territory, this winery recovers and enhances native vines which are suitable to best express the winemaking vocation of the whole Apulian territory.
Large cellars dug into the rock of the benedictine monastery guard the precious wine, perfected through the ancient local winemaking traditions, which are now flanked by the most modern winemaking techniques.
