Cantine Due Palme, a cooperative company established in 1989 in Cellino San Marco, in the province of Brindisi, was born from the idea and will of Angelo Maci, the third generation of a family of winemakers. It involves 1000 contributing members and includes 2500 hectares of vineyards, located in the triangle of land that embraces the provinces of Brindisi, Taranto and Lecce, in the heart of Salento.
From the 90s till today, the company has made huge investments to encourage growth, development, technologies and sustainable production. Three wineries have been incorporated into the Cantine Due Palme group since 1989: from the historic Cantina Sociale Riforma Fondiaria in Cellino San Marco (one of the oldest cooperatives in Puglia, established in 1955), to Cantina Sociale Angelini in San Pietro Vernotico (established in 1961) up to Cantina San Gaetano in Lizzano (1959), in the province of Taranto, an important winery in the area of the PDO Primitivo wine.
Thus far Cantine Due Palme produces twenty-five excellent wines, which are strongly characterized by the soil and climatic conditions of the region and shaped by the passion and skill of Angelo Maci, the president and oenologist of the company.
