The Baia delle Zagare is a corner of paradise along the south coast of the Gargano, it takes its name from the abundant presence of orange trees that grow spontaneously in this area with an extremely temperate climate but the area is also known as Baia dei Mergoli for the presence of blackbirds and sparrows that nest in the cliffs.
The Bay offers us three beautiful beaches with small pebbles and a very clear emerald green sea; in the background dominates the crag of a candid white that alternates with the bright green of the dense spontaneous vegetation.

Not far from the shore stand the Arco di Diomede and Le Forbici, two spectacular limestone stacks shaped by the wind and the sea.
By organizing a boat trip, you can reach another splendid stack, the Arco degli Innamorati, and the suggestive sea caves that alternate throughout the coast.

After the promontory of the Baia delle Zagare is the Red Grotto which hides an enchanting beach illuminated by a small opening in the rock, creating a fairy-tale landscape.
At sunset it is particularly suggestive to admire the profile of the coast, where the ancient lookout towers in defense of the corsairs stand out.
